Building Inspector

Jarrad has more than 18 years of experience in construction, engineering and mining environments, allowing him to generate and retain a wealth of knowledge and expertise with varying trades and construction practices.

Jarrad has spent time as a hands-on carpenter, which is his primary trade background, starting out with roof frames and progressing to the construction of timber frame homes. Jarrad evolved into supervising his own carpentry teams to ensure the work was being completed in accordance with the Australian Standards, approved plans and engineering documents. This allowed Jarrad to retain significant knowledge relating to timber-framed construction requirements.

Jarrad also spent time as a construction supervisor and construction manager, giving him vast experience and exposure to all aspects of construction. Jarrad is a registered builder (#101343) and has run his own successful building company in the past, allowing him to further his skills in supervising works, ensuring timelines are met and professionally liaising with all parties, including trades and the client/s.Jarrad has a strong work ethic, a desire to learn as much about the building industry as he possibly can and a significant amount of experience, which allows him to succeed and excel in his role as a Building Inspector.

Jarrad has extensive knowledge of all relevant Australian Standards and the Building Code/NCC, including but not limited to; AS3700, AS4773, AS1684, AS3740, and AS2870 and continues to expand his knowledge on a daily basis.

Being a very reliable, honest and professional person, Jarrad has been able to fit perfectly into the role of a Building Inspector at Bestwest Building. Jarrad fits into the team very well and currently carries out Construction Progress Inspections throughout a new home build, Pre Purchase Building Inspections and Practical Completion Inspections.
